Why Certification Matters
Consumers deserve safe effective rodent control solutions that do not pose a risk to children, pets, wildlife, and ecosystems. The POISON-FREE™ mark helps consumers quickly identify professionals who are committed to protecting communities and the environment from harm caused by rodenticide use.
For Members: How Certification Works
HWCA members in good standing may apply to become POISON-FREE™ certified providers.
To earn and maintain the certification, providers must:
Submit a statement of compliance, confirming that they can and will adhere to HWCA's POISON-FREE™ Certification Standards.
Agree to undergo periodic review to ensure adherence to HWCA's POISON-FREE™ stipulation.
Display the POISON-FREE™ mark only in connection with rodent control services that meet the standard.
Once approved, certified providers may display the POISON-FREE™ certification mark.
Certification is renewed annually.
